about the WRITER & DIRECTOR
contact Tony
Tony Leonardo wrote and directed the short Kaya and its sister experimental short film that's even shorter, Zebra 022. Kaya is his first narrative film.
Although writing one's own biography is odd, Tony would like to point out that his given name which he often uses is Pasquale Anthony Leonardo, so you may see that appear from time to time. Several years back I co-produced and shot the 16mm music video "Out Here All Night" for the band Damone which aired on MTV, VH1 and was nominated for "Best Music Video Inspired by a Film" at the Fuse Music Video Awards that year. I also shot the short film John & June which played at several festivals across the country and produced, wrote and directed the sitcom pilot The Williamsburgers in 2007.
Currently I am working on writing a feature and plan to shoot two more shorts, EROS & CIGARETTES and HETEROCERA.
Independent of film, I am known by many as a player, broadcast commentator and author on the sport of ultimate. My two books on ultimate are available at Amazon (now on Kindle), Barnes & Noble, other bookstores and my own book sellin'website.
I studied film at ND and Brooklyn College.
